Driving licence requirements in Spain

Spanish Seat belt laws

All drivers and passengers renting a car in Spain must wear a seat belt.

Children

To sit in the front of a hire car, children under 12 years of age must be seated in an approved child seat.

Parking

Any parking space marked with blue paint is an ORA pay parking zone. There are parking meters in the vicinity which take a 70 cent minimum payment. Pay parking operates between 9.00 and 14.00 then 16.30 and 20.00 with 2 1/2 hours of free parking during siesta. Parking is free on Saturdays after 14.00 and all day Sunday. Palma has plenty of underground parking with more being added as we speak.
