Walking in Mallorca - Banyalbufar Walk

One of the most beautiful walks around the island is the route to the Port des Canonge from Banyalbufar.
The start of the walk is a curve in the road approximately 2km east of Banyalbufar, park where ever you can. If you are a bit fitter it is possible to park in the village and walk up to the start of the walk.

Know as "Volta des General" it was once a philosophers' path and leads imperceptibly downhill through shaded pine forests with magnificent views of the coast. The walk ends at Port des Canonge, with its tiny gravel beaches comes alive only at weekends, when the local fisherman set their boats to the water. In Port des Canonge there are 2 restaurants where you can sit and have a leisurely lunch before heading back up to the car.
