Mallorca is an active island! The land-based activities include golf,
with many many different courses to choose from, tennis (Mallorca is the
home of Raphael Nadal) cycling, walking, ten-pin bowling and horse riding.
Water based sports are almost as numerous as the beautiful boats in Palma
harbour and include sailing, water-skiing, windsurfing, kite surfing,
scuba diving and pedal boating. And if something that little bit different
is the order of the day there are balloon, gliding, helicopter and even
submarine trips available!
If this all sounds too much like hard work, the spectator sports on the
island include bullfighting (for the terminaly un-PC, cricket, world class
football, greyhound and horse racing.
Mallorca also now boasts its own Casino, situated a short distance from
Palma, that is occasionally resident to some of showbusiness' biggest
names.
